What is KDVT 2.0?
KDVT 2.0 stands for the Klang Valley Double Track Phase 2 project (Malay: Projek Landasan Berkembar Lembah Klang Fasa 2), which is a major railway infrastructure rehabilitation and upgrade project in Malaysia. It involves upgrading 265 km of existing Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) railway track and related systems to improve capacity, efficiency, and reliability of the rail network in the Klang Valley.
The project covers two main stretches:
- Salak Selatan to Seremban
- Kuala Lumpur (specifically Simpang Port Klang, near Mid Valley) to Port Klang

The project involves enhancing these stations and upgrading existing signalling and electrification systems. Passengers using these lines, primarily the KTM Komuter Seremban Line (Batu Caves – Tampin/Pulau Sebang sector) and Port Klang Line (Tanjung Malim – Port Klang sector), may experience extended travel times and timetable changes while the works are in progress. The project is expected to be completed by the first quarter of 2029.
